Baranowo Μπαρανόβο - Greek week

Kalimera (good morning) - this word started GREEK WEEK. From 18 - 22 of October 2010 Greece were placed in kindergarten. The youngest pupils learned about the culture and specificity of this country. With great enthusiasm children listened information about Greek flag, which is a rectangle divided into ten arranged in alternating horizontal stripes: five blue and four white with a cross in the upper left corner. Children learned where Greece is located on the map of Europe and learned that the capital is Athens. Also they had an occasion to see that the shape of Greece looks like arm outstretched towards the sea. It looks like Greece wanted to hug all of its islands scattered around. Attractive part of the course was Greek mythology. During trip to Greece children met Athena - goddess of war and wisdom, that why wise owl was her symbol. It was believed that it has a special power that protects Athens. Therefore, the citizens of Athens loved and revered her. To know better the culture of another country, whole kindergarten tried Greek salad.

Summary of “Greek week” was on Friday, 29 of October. It began with a film about the island of Zakynthos, there was a quiz and ancient fashion show. At the end of the meeting with Greece children danced Zorba, all kindergarten had great fun. The implementation of this theme has provided children with many activities and significantly expanded interest about this country. We say goodbye to Greece by word Kalispera (bye), and we look forward to a trip to another country.

Dlatego też obywatele Aten kochali ją i czcili.
